A lot of people seemed shocked when I pointed out that the underlying story of the Bible is about self-defense. Apparently, a lot of people have never cracked open the bible to know any better than what they had been indoctrinated by thought controllers to believe about God and what He wants us to accomplish with our lives.

So I reached out to combative instructors that call me brother, and even some who are estranged to me that would call me brother if they knew me. Such as former SEAL and cohost of History Channel’s TopShot, Craig Sawyer.

I think people should be reminded that being called to be meek, is not a call to cowardice by any means. And just because servants of Christ may be merciful about turning the cheek... We also possess the judgment and grace to elect not to be merciful when we are called on to raise bloody hell.

And speaking from experience, I think it is easier to manage the physical scars from battle far easier than any mental or emotional scars. The cuts that reach into your soul and alter your perception are the ones that make or break you as a human in God’s Image.

But you know, it isn’t just the preparedness for a physical fight that parents are not equipping kids for handling when they are sent to school. Especially since one of the most egregious acts of evil a person can do to someone is corrupt their moral compass, or remove it all together.

I know a lot of parents who raise their kids with good moral values, who send them to school, and teachers and other students bully those children out of those beliefs.

And too many parents say, “they will grow out of that stage” when a monster comes home for a visit. Speaking as someone who took longer than I should have growing past that kind of damage, let me tell you I hold my parents more accountable than the kids and teachers.

Were it not for a direct confrontation with God, on my own road to Damascus like another guy in the bible, I would still be on the wrong road and be suffering from the belief of “this is how the world works” because “everyone told me so.”

Even though I knew in my heart, “This is what God says, because the bible said so.” The world was winning because I really did not know what the bible said at all to even call myself a white belt at defending myself against the world through the Word.

I was exploited for believing I should turn the cheek, that I should forgive, that I should walk away. I had no idea the difference between meekness and cowardice because what I knew was I should always take the high road and be the bigger man. And I did all those things with no care to how I was letting people make themselves into monsters around me, that I easily could have stopped if I had actually applied the teachings of the Bible through Christ, the way He intends.

Oh... maybe I just caught someone’s attention by implying I shouldn’t have been as forgiving as I was in the past? Because that doesn’t line up with their idea of Jesus and an “all loving God.”

If that is you then you might want to take a step back and consider your own upbringing and who you have been taught by before I hurt your feelings more with Truth. Yes the life of Jesus was marked with Him forgiving and turning the cheek and avoiding mobs trying to murder Him.

I don’t think anyone can deny that Jesus was endlessly tested and bullied in the short three years of His ministry, before He stopped running and took the battle to the Cross to win our Victory.

But you are likely aware that when your kid runs off to college, or even before that they are told things such as “Your God killed Himself to save you from Himself?” Or other inane and ignorant arguments that amount to escaping personal responsibility for the consequences of your choices.

In the last few weeks I have heard too many whiners from atheists crying that my God wants to send them to hell so that proves He is evil. Where the hell they came up with that belief I could not tell you. Except from the idea they have that everyone should get the same reward. And where did that whole “equality of outcome” idea come from? Was it first learned when the bully and the victim each got the same punishment as I have seen in schools?

I don’t know how a bully could not think they got the better end of the deal when the other kid had the bloody nose and hospital visit on top of the same punishment. Which should make every parent ask this question about the upbringing of their kids and how they treat friends and neighbors.

What is better, teaching the right morals to defend in a fight……. Or just teaching how to defend in a fight without morals? And then……..what are the Right morals?

I can see only one answer for people who swore an oath to the Constitution such as myself. You look at the common morals of the people who authored the Constitution and that is what you defend because that is what inspired the Constitution and there is no better social contract people can have with friends and neighbors, except the covenant with God through His Son that makes us all brothers and sisters who support and defend each other as equals regardless of our geography or genealogy in this world.

And that is what every signer of the Declaration of Independence knew when they stopped running from a fight that was coming no matter how many times they turned the cheek and forgave an unforgiving merciless bully. As a parent, you really only have a few choices when it comes to your kids.

And it really boils down to the first good advice I was given in serving Christ. That if I want to serve Christ then first I have to be the example of anything I spoke about. If you want your kids able bodied and minded to handle themselves in confrontations that can strip away their humanity and morality, then you better be able to practice what you preach.

However, if you can’t, and I know too often that opportunity is not available, then you need to seek out instructors that serve your best interests. And I would suggest you take the same classes with your kids so you can learn for yourself and not be a hypocrite needing cared and protected by your children to survive the next challenge this world throws at you that you were too busy running away from to know what hit you from behind.

Back to the issue at hand, let me pose this for you to consider. If you were asked to explain the “Pursuit of Happiness” could you? If a leftist challenged you on it intellectually, could you defend it or would you be defeated without a word said by a blue haired psycho that doesn’t even know if they have a gender much less which one they are? Fun fact for people who took an oath to enlist, as I did: Our oath doesn’t expire, as most of us are fond of repeating. However, what is not that often said is that our defense for the constitution applies to ALL THREATS, and not just those convenient. And herein, we get into the weeds of what becomes a threat, to be a clear and present danger that should be checked. And clearly there are people who are operating with no critical thinking skills and ignorance to have no situational awareness of what is friend or foe. Well let's trim back those weeds and prune off the overgrowth a little so we can see what is clear and present first? “What is the Pursuit of Happiness” is a good self test to see if you can offer an explanation, and defense of it. And if a gun were held to your head to give the Right answer, would you pass or fail? Across the world from us, there are places where if you meet up with the wrong people you are likely to lose your head if you cannot recite a particular verse or chapter from the quran . And even then you may be asked to drop your pants and prove you are not circumcised. That may be something some college kids should be learning right now, if we wise up and start deporting people that do not belong in our country. And I am actually not talking about just only illegal immigrants who are coming into our country with no respect nor fear of our laws and not facing any obvious consequence. Pretty obvious from where I am standing, we should be deporting a lot of people taking their citizenship for granted because they did nothing to earn it and have nothing but disdain for what gave it to them to begin with.
