Allow me to beat around the bush somewhat before setting it on fire to address an issue I have seen get out of control in circles. Religion (specifically Christianity) vs Homosexuality. In so many words, and so many countless times and ways I have had people lament to me about the times we are in. Saying “I don’t understand…” Whether it is about the government behaving the way it is, or people in our society, or members of our families. Disloyal, dishonorable…disgraceful. Or, maybe a few other more appropriate pronouns? Psychopathic and or sociopathic. But they answer well for themselves, again in so many words. “My morality, my truth.”

If I did not have the bible, I might have no way to know and be scratching my head along with everyone else. As it is, I am watching God directly answer every attack and accusation ever been laid against Him and His People by His enemies. I’ll give a few brief examples. School teachers vs catholic priests, who is a bigger threat to molesting children these days? Religion or Science, who should you blindly trust? You know I could honestly not count in the last few years how many times someone has objected to…just the idea of God….. based on behavior of religious people. But man I can’t see a leg for non religious people to stand on these days in comparison. But no doubt, the clear answer for people who consider themselves Godly, is to not be a hypocrite and act like the unGodly. Because as we obviously cannot blindly trust science, neither can we blindly trust false teachers. But I still catch myself scratching my head in wonder at the person in front of me scratching their head wondering. Because these days I am not sure who is getting the best direct answer from God. Hypocrites that take God’s name in vain, or the people that for years cried “show me evidence of your God!” “We can’t know,” and “there is more than one way” are two things I have heard promoted about God….universally. And more than once I have heard the two opposing expressions from the same person. Seriously, how can it be both at the same time when it comes to God? You convince me easier that NEITHER is the case before I even pick up the bible to read the Truth for myself. Because the bible said so…. Isn’t what a lot of people want to hear. I have heard famed atheist, richard dawkins complain when confronted with irrefutable truth presented with sufficient evidence that, “But that answer isn’t satisfying.” Bitter pills seldom are, but that isn’t why people take them. They take them for the hope and promise of being healed of what ails. I just find it funny when I witness an atheist go through mental gymnastics of “evidence…science….proof” one second to make appeals and pleas to emotion divorced from logic, “Don’t give me what I asked for, give me what I want instead!” Was the question, how to become a man, or how do you make yourself happy with being less than you were created to be?” Scuse me for not picking on Ladies since apparently these days people of gender dysmorphic tendencies find it easier to “become a woman” than to achieve their maximal potential.

I know…just don’t ask them “can you define what a woman is?” And look… I get it. There are a lot of people who have total and absolute faith that darwinism is true. Transgenderism is just a practice of impatience because some people don’t want to wait a few million years to magically evolve into another gender. Which leads to yet another answer to criticism from God I am seeing. Because “Talking donkeys and snakes aren't real!” as I have heard said many times to justify the belief that the bible isn’t true. And my response to that of, “Then you must reject evolution” goes flying over the head of the bible critic. Thing is, I have to give a big thanks to critics of God and the bible for inspiring me to actually use my brain a little bit. Even and especially when they are too busy eating irony to do so themselves and take their own advice and apply the same measures on their own beliefs. Mainly atheists, although there were some from other religions, would often attack Christianity and the bible to prove to me they weren't true, by attempting to show me where the bible contradicts itself. Which is a good tactic that if correct, can prove "cognitive dissonance." Or a better term would be, self defeating logic. Let’s face it, the best way to test your belief is by whether or not it conflicts with reality. Funny how Martial Arts can teach that to you as well and parallel in so many ways including, “What is the best Martial Art to practice?” Where bible critics failed to show me any contradiction in the bible, they totally succeeded in showing me contradiction in their understanding.

Especially since I have yet to encounter a single argument that was not either falsely premised, or a false dilemma, or use of a strawman god. And... or in nearly every case, an argument of circular reasoning. Which brings debates I have had down to two final arguments by critics of the bible who try to judge God. That either, and or, God is evil; or His followers are because the way they treat other people such as homosexuals. No, I was not shying away from the criticism at all, I was just using some standard firefighting tactics I learned along the way of twenty some odd years of being a First Responder to control the burn and cut off the fuel sources. The problem I believe we are all facing, and I do mean every single one of us… is that we have all been lied to at some point in time about any number of things. And likely the most important thing I believe every person has been lied to about, has been God. Now, pay attention to what I actually mean by that, and not what you want to take my words as. What I mean is, regardless of where you stand on the issue of God…. at some point in your life, someone has tried to lie to you. Maybe you didn’t believe the lie, maybe you did. Maybe you’re atheist, agnostic, anglican, or a viking or orthodox or catholic or islamist or any of anything that has a belief about God because every person has a belief about the God of the Bible. But if your telling yourself and others, “You can’t know…..” then not only have you been lied to, you can’t know how bad you have fallen for the lies. If you are telling yourself, “there is more than one way to get to The Kingdom of God” then again, you have been lied to.

I know some people believe every person that ever lived shares the same eternal experience after we die. One bunch of people is called atheists. Another may be called universalists, and besides that I can’t say how many other cults and people think or plan to go to the same place as hitler. But a lot of people today sure act like it. So, when I get told by a critic of God, or the bible… “God/Christians are bad because they persecute homosexuals….” I have a NUMBER of issues about that. And a lot of it I have to first wonder if the critic is just trying to have their cake at someone else’s expense? But let’s set aside my own skepticism of their claims, because as I said…we should avoid acting like the unGodly.

I have told a few people in personal conversations when this issue came up that to me the issue of Christian ethics about homosexuality is really kind of low hanging fruit. Because let’s face facts, do you honestly expect a Christian to endorse evil to pose such a dilemma on a Christian on any other sin such as, “Gee, your God hates baby rapists, so therefore your God is evil!” But the fact is I see people every day who are anti-God and anti-Christians trying to put Christians in a hostage situation and make them choose between God and who the Christian loves… And seriously…. Who the hell do you think you are to do that to people that mean you no harm and only want what is truly best for you? So let’s turn the tables around a little bit shall we? How about those baby rapists? Should they go to hell? That should be an easy call right? What about rape of the mind, not the body? Oh… did we cross a line there? I bet some may say we did because it is easy to see where that type of trauma comes from across the landscape of todays politics. What about spiritual rape? You know, and I get it… there are people out there who believe you are a bundle of chemicals in flux and your happiness is determined by the balance of your hormones.

Therefore there is no such thing as being "mind raped."

So “correcting” your gender through hormone blockers and castration and mutilation should make you happy. But you are a dirty dog if you don’t use the right pronoun and endorse the behaviors and proclivities of someone….going off the deep end of those beliefs. Gee, can’t you take a pill for your offended feelings rather than take away my God Given Rights to make yourself happy? No? Mmmkay let me take some of the fire down a level here then and give you some points to ponder about all of this. I know, the biggest concern for my critics is that I act and believe as if God is real… and active in my life. But it is no concern if someone acts and believes they are the wrong gender. Or is gender your god where “you can’t know” and “everyone can have it how they want it” religious practice? But aside from homosexuality…. Or baby rape…. God also hates a few other things… such as ignorance. God also hates hypocrisy. God really hates cowardice too. Can you get to Heaven through ignorance? Absolutely not. It is more fair to say, “anyone can get out of heaven any ignorant way they want”

But God will not take advantage of you the way some will in trying to make you hate the way you were born. Nor will God tempt you to fail to be less than your created potential. The opposite is instead the true case where God shows and guides you to achieve what you were made for.

Of course that is a short summation on what Pursuit of Happiness is and why it is a basic fundamental human right, endowed by God.

A right that can be assaulted by other humans, or that you can be conned into surrendering at the price you ask for. Which brings me to the criticisms I get after dealing with being a servant of a God that is not “all loving” as you were lied to about. Because my God is a Just God of Truth and Mercy. And people who say otherwise, really have some serious misunderstandings of what Mercy is or how to have it when there is no penalty for deciding to act, and behave, as if God is your enemy. “What about the people in other countries who never heard!” Because after all, you are pre-determined to have the beliefs you have based on your culture. But seriously, name the country or region anywhere in the world with people in it that has no one trying to be their best. Do you really think there is such a place where someone cannot be found acting, and behaving as if what they do wrong has consequences? Maybe you do think so if you also believe in your own truth, and your own morality. Because you can tell yourself any lie you want to hear while treating others any horrible way you want and think you can get away with it. But a Christian? A True follower of Christ wants you to achieve your maximal potential of greatness. And that is something that can only happen through Virtuous practices, not vices. Honor, Loyalty, Grace…

And people who are pointing you down that path, ain't dissing you.
